I assume the asker is referring to normal trees other than parasitic species that actively target established trees.....but the answer is.....YES. If a seed (whether dispersed by wind, bird or animal) finds a suitable place to germinate it will attempt to grow. Often a cavity in a tree or a suitable crotch will collect organic matter (from falling leaves etc) and become a suitable medium for a seed to take root. Personally I have seen, ficus, japanese pepper, cape lilac and a few others but there is no reason that any seed couldn't have a go at piggy-backing in an other tree. Most wouldn't be able to grow very big tho.
Fungi that arwe host dependant will grow within the root spread of the host.
