According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) when encouraging the use of vaccines by pregnant women:

In addition to protecting her from infection, infants less than 6 months old will not be able to be vaccinated so it is recommended that everyone who lives with or provides care for infants less than 6 months of age receive both the seasonal influenza vaccine and 2009 H1N1 influenza monovalent vaccine to provide protection for the infant.
Before the baby is born the immune system of the mother will protect the baby, see related questions below about the safety of the A-H1N1/09 vaccine for pregnant women. Once the baby is born, the protection it will have will be by not going out in public where it can be exposed to crowded situations and be put at risk as well as by having all people in the household, especially those who give direct care to the infant vaccinated so they can't get it and pass it on to the infant.

See the related question below also about the advantages of vaccination to the mother of babies who are breastfeeding, another way to protect the newborns.
