no all gears can not go in same diretion
Gears is what transmission is for. No gears. No transmission!
Yes
In the case for me - holds the transmission from all that over shifting in the low gears in stop and go traffic.
There isn't a transmission capacity the only thing you go by is the amount of gears it has.
if it doesnt shift into gears smoothly or at all. rev. is the first to go in most cases.
This is called limp mode for that 604 transmission, it means something is wrong internally with the transmission and it needs to go to the repair shop for further diagnosis.
my 94 Toyota corolla will not go into any gears .
the gear reverse don't work in the transmission, the tothers gears okey. This actually happened to me once. A piece inside the transmission had actually broken off, and there was no way to fix it other than to replace the transmission. Sorry.
Reverse is usually the first to go, followed by first gear. Time for a transmission rebuild.
have you checked the fluid level?
The transmission is broken. Take it to a shop.
Gear changes are determined after how fast the engine is turning. For each gear there are set limits for which engine revs that are allowed. if the revs go high, the transmission changes up a gear, if the gears go low it drops down a gear.
