It is not the mattress that gets bedbugs but the bed. Bedbugs are attracted to a sleeping person in a bed. Once a bedbug has had a blood meal off somebody sleeping in that bed they will normally find a hiding place as close as possible to that bed which may or may not be in the mattress. It could be in the sheets, the bed construction, the floor, the walls or furniture or books near the bed. Bed bugs can be kept at bay with mattress protectors.

There are mattress covers that will prevent bed bugs from getting into or out of any mattress. The covers are specially designed so that even the zippers cannot be penetrated. They are not very expensive, and once they are on the mattress, the cover should remain in place for at least one year. If you do not have crawling children or free-roaming pets, you can also obtain (inexpensively) some food-grade diatomaceous earth (very fine white powder) and sprinkle it around the bed, the bed legs, entryways into your home (sliding glass doors, windows, and doors, etc.). The DE acts like microscopic razor blades on Spiders, ants, fleas, and bed bugs. It clings to their bodies and kills them. Don't breath it! And you can do yourself a great favor by mixing pure undiluted lavender oil (French lavender oil is a good one, but don't bother with "pre-diluted" oils) at one drop per ou8nce of water and spraying it to repel bed bugs. It helps you relax and be calm, and to be de-stressed and to sleep, but the bugs hate it. If you plan to keep your spray for a while, add a tablespoon of vodka to the mix as a preservative. Some people claim that using lavender body lotions, shampoos, and soaps also helps to repel the little biters! Avoid getting concentrated oils on your skin, fabrics, around the mouth or eyes, etc., as they can be irritating. Take great care never to inhale diatomaceous earth. It is not toxic, but it can be harmful to delicate tissues. Bed bugs have been around for at least hundreds of years. Making your immediate environment miserable to then (pleasant for you!) and creating a barrier around your bed and living space can help control them -- in an environmentally-friendly manner, without chemicals or expensive pest services. Spray as often as you like.

foam mattress is better anyday. example - SLEEPWELL mattress has varieties of FOAM mattress where they give guarantee for more than 5 years(DUET) 10 years(GOLD PLUS) or 15 years(PEARL PLUS). If your queation is about heating problem then you should be panic if you buy some unbranded foam mattress. Are Latex Mattresses Durable?

Latex foam mattresses are a product made from the sap of the rubber tree. Much like the usefulness and properties of other rubber and latex-based products, you can be sure that your mattress would stay good as new for a long time. With the right care and maintenance, you can enjoy its full benefits with little loss in potency, even up to 15 years. This is why latex foam mattresses are also sustainable and less available in the markets for purchase. Although more expensive than memory foam or other mattresses, the long-term investment value goes much higher. Even if you need to invest up to 50% higher than a memory foam mattress, the durability and advantages of latex foam mattresses far outweigh its one-time high price.

What is a mattress that uses memory foam?

Tempurpedic is the most common brand name, the entire mattress is supposed to be made of memory foam. There are also many "Just as good" mattresses that try to name themselves something close to that. For example, Bob's stores near us sell the "BobOPedic" mattress. If you're googling for beds, just type in "Memory foam" or ask at the store where you are shopping what beds they sell with "Memory foam." Some stores claim they have memory foam mattresses, but what they really are is a basic foam mattress with a layer of 1-3" thick memory foam on top. Be careful when shopping. Sometimes those "Layered mattresses" are a rip off, as it's cheaper to buy a piece of ordinary foam and then throw a mattress topper made of memory foam on top of it. Some people don't like having a mattress made of 100% memory foam because they feel like they're "rolling out of a hole" in the morning (the mattress sinks too much around them) so, even if you plan on buying your mattress online, go to a good mattress store and lay down on different types of memory foam beds to really see what you like. Even better, if you have friends who have a foam mattress and will let you "Borrow their bed" for the night, do that.
