I have been quite active physically for years. At 52 I had a heart attack a little over a year ago. They put me on blood thinners, first one that made me dizzy then coumadin. With both I was so cold all the time that I blasted my wife out of the house with turning up the temperature. Temperatures below 75 made me chilled and anything below 70 and I felt so cold that I couldn't stand it. I took hot showers a lot, got on my exercise bike all the time. My doctor told me that coldness is not a major symptom but has seen it before. He checked my thyroid which was fine. I got off them 3 months ago and within weeks I was fine again. So this tells me that YES THEY CAN!!!!!!!!

I was cold for almost a year. Doctors checked everything. My pharmacist said it could be the Warfarin I was on for my surgeries. I am now pretty much fine again in a few weeks since I was taken off it. Nothing else had changed other than the surgery and I am mostly fine now. Each week I now have less and less coldness to where I am 90% normal again. My hands don't get numb from cold anymore even though it is colder outside (Winter now). It all tells me that it was definitely the blood thinners.
