I asked my midwife about this just after my first scan. I was told that it's safe to dye hair all the way throughout pregnancy, however it may not have the desired colour due to hormones ect.
I would suggest going to a hairdresser is you are going to have it done... it's a lot more comfortable than bending over the side of a bath to rinse! especially with a bump!
