yes light passes through it but in very less amount,very less that we can't see it properly.since it is the white substance it reflect high amount of light and very less amount is entered.................

NO the molecules are tightly packed in milk and the light cannot penetrate into it to make it transparent.

i think colloids are transparent because the particles are too small to be seen by the naked eye. so it must be transparent
