In the absence of a female officer, and to ensure his own safety, he may 'frisk' via an outer clothing pat-down (not underneath clothing - unles he discovers something in the pat-down) and definitely not a strip, or body cavity search. Further, he may restrain her hands in such a way that she poses no threat of injury or bodily harm to him in the event she should have a weapon concealed somewhere on her body that he may not find.
I have an old family recipe handed down from my Creole Grandmother I believe you will enjoy. Simple but delicious: Mix one 1/2 if mayonnaise with one cup of plain cream cheese,1/8 cup of milk, 1/2 teaspoon Cheyenne pepper, dash of black pepper, dash of Louisiana Hot Sauce and 3/4 cup of lump crab meat. Melt and stir all ingredients slowly over low heat until creamy. Serve and enjoy Mon Chere'!
Yes, as long as the frisk is otherwise legal.

A cop can pat down anyone regardless of their sex or age as long as the reason for the search is consistent with case law. For the most part a police officer will attempt to have someone of same sex perform the search if possible, but if there is a belief that the suspect is concealing a weapon, the pat-down is immediate and the officer will not wait for a same sex partner.
The procedure of a male officer searching a female suspect is discouraged and avoided when possible. However, legally, a male officer may frisk, pat down, or otherwise search a female suspect under any circumstance, period. Any regulation that specifies otherwise is set by local ordinance or department policy.
In some states yes and vice versa.
a female officer would have to be called to the scene to search them completely but until then a male officer can pat them down to make sure they dont have any weapons until a female arrives.Added: The correct procedure for officer safety (which admittedly COULD be different from agency to agency) would be to do an outer clothing pat down and then restrain the female with handcuiffs behind her back until the arrival of a female officer.
It could depend on the circumstances. A sloppy search can kill a cop, while the male urban area patrolman should always call for backup it is not always practical in rural or remote areas. He could cuff and detain the female until another patrol can leave their area and assist. Pat downs are used to determine if the suspect is carrying a concealed weapon. Searches are used to discover concealed drugs. All countries have different laws and almost every state in the USA has variations of pat down vs search.

Yes, in the absence of a male officer a female officer may pat down (for weapons) a male subject she has under arrest - then handcuff and secure him until the arrival of a male officer to conduct a more thorough body search. It is the same rule that applies when a male officer must search a female arrestee.
After he arrests you and before he puts you in the cop car. A frisk can be done as part of a routine stop if the officer is concerned for his safety. It is generally a pat down of external clothing.
Unless there is some specific prohibition in your area, yes. In fact the idea that a male searches a male and a female searches a female is normally policy, not regulation. A small department may not have an officer of the 'correct' sex available when a search needs to be done, so whoever is available can perform the searches.
Normally Patrick is a boys name, but if you like it for a girl I don't see why you should change it. Or you could have Patricia.
