What are harmful questions on WikiAnswers?

Anything vulgar im guessing, like Whats a dick? or something like that.

How many vulgar slang words are there?

WikiAnswers is not going to give you vulgar words - we are a G-Rated website. There is also no way to count slang words because slang is constantly changing. So even if we would give you vulgar words, we couldn't count them.

Why does this site allow vulgar questions or answers on this site?

Vulgarity is not allowed. Please flag it when you see it.

How is the term puta translated into the English language?

"Puta" is a vulgar sexual expression. The rules for answering questions forbid to answer this kind of questions because it is not appropriate for all ages.

What do you class as vulgar on this site?

I can't speak for everyone, but I'd say that we generally avoid the "swear words" unless we are asked to give a definition or discuss the origin of one of them. We also try to be factual rather than crude or rude. If we are asked questions about sexual subjects, we tend to answer in a way that is informative and objective, rather than by using the slang or controversial expressions for those subjects. If I had to define it, "vulgar" would probably mean using words that parents might not want their kids to say. I believe questions can be answered very effectively without using bad language.

How do you delete things off WikiAnswers?

Contributors cannot delete questions from WikiAnswers. However, supervisors can trash questions. If you are a supervisor click on the question and in the left-hand side you should see the word "Trash" (if you see the word "Untrash" it means the question has already been trashed). Clicking on "Trash" will delete the question. If you didn't mean to trash the question, then don't worry, just click Untrash and the question will be restored. Supervisors: Questions should only be deleted if they are harmful or complete nonsense. At WikiAnswers we have several "catch-all" questions to catch vulgar questions, so before deleting please ensure that the question doesn't need to be merged into on of the catch-alls. Anybody can delete answers to a question (unless the question is protected). Do not delete an answer unless it is wrong, nonsense, is vulgar, or is harmful. Instead of completely deleting an answer, please try to clean it up. For example, if an answer contains correct information or somebody's opinion but contains bad words, then simply take out the bad words. If an answer is completely wrong then you can delete it, for example if an answer says that George Washington was the second President then you can change it to say first. BUT if you believe an answer is wrong simply because it disagrees with your opinion then it should be left and you can add your alternate opinion. You can also ask any supervisor (see the list below) or email WikiAnswers @ Answers.com (no spaces) if you have any questions about deleting an answer or question. If you are a contributor and would like a question trashed then please contact a supervisor or email WikiAnswers @ Answers.com (no spaces).

Can you put anything on Answers.com?

Not just anything. Questions that are nonsensical or vulgar or are meant to harass or advertise are not allowed. The same goes for answers to questions. See the links below for more information.

Can WikiAnswers actually help the people?

Yes it can. Most of the questions are answered properly, and it makes information searching easy. ---- I think it can. It depends on the questions asked, though. There are people who ask serious questions to get serious answers. Some just want odd information or how to locate things. Some young people ask questions about life, health care, homework or friendships. I've noticed people asking how to repair things. Others ask Bible-based questions. I think some can be helped. I'm a 'compulsive' helper and I've been helped. There are, however, immature or infantile-minded people who abuse this site to type vulgar, perverted questions. Some don't even ask questions; they just submit nonsense. These are the same type of people who write on the walls in the bathroom. It's obvious that these people don't "have a life" as they say. Just ignore them; they'll go away and the 'janitor' will clean the walls.

Name a cuss word?

This question should never be answered. These words and vulgar and not necessary. They add nothing of importance to the subject under discussion and do not enhance the reputation of the user
