Great wall from space? No, this is a fallacy which predates the space age. Even from low-earth orbit, the shuttle astronauts cannot see it without binoculars. The Wall is built of materials that blend in with the surroundings from that height. (As opposed to cities and airport runways, which are sometimes visible.) There is a mistaken belief that it can be seen from the Moon, but obviously this is not possible, and neither can any man -made object be seen from the Moon. Images taken of earth with 2X zoom have shown a faint line where the Wall is, but it cannot be clearly seen from space.
