Well,she can do that, but it depends on the standards, like if the you knew the father, or if the child will ever see his/her father. something like that. I watch a lot of court shows and I also read a book about it.

∙ 12y agoIf you live in the US, she can't just remove your name from the birth certificate. She would have to go to court and request that they allow her to disestablish paternity. The only way that will possibly happen is if she can prove, via DNA test, that you are not the biological father. If she's refusing to allow you to see the child, go get court-ordered visitation.

In answer to the presumption of the question, it does not matter if he's on it or not. If it's his child, he will still be obligate to pay child support.
