Ram air intake aka, short ram intakes are good for low end horsepower and torque Cold air intakes have more horsepower gaines then short ram and more top end power. If your looking for more torque then horsepower, meaning more acceleration but dont care about topping out your car, then short ram intake is what you want. If you already have enough torque and just want more horsepower and go fast as possible, then cold air intake is what you want.
well you see the timematic conversion of the thirteenth neo is greater then the torque of edelbrock... so no
If it's 94-96, 205 Hp at the motor. 265 ft lb torque. 97's had a different intake and gained about ten more horsepower, I believe.
lower gears you can also add an new intake which will give your 10-20 more horse powers
supercharge it.
camaro more tourqe and more horsepower
TORQUE is a measurment of how strong the engine is,horsepower is how quickly the engine makes power, for example,if you were wanting a fast car for racing you would want more horsepower, but if you were wanting to tow a heavy load, you would need more torque. torque means twisting effort.
In your 5.7 the best horsepower option would be to supercharge it. They current make a supercharger for the 5.7l hemi if that's the engine you are talking about. Intake and exhaust do produce more power, but however change the overall torque bands v Horsepower bands, therefore you may loose some horsepower in some rpms and gain some in others. Therefore a turbo charger or Supercharger will be the best money spent for more horsepower!
Possibly, due to the better design of most aftermarket intake manifolds Also, an aluminum intake saves about 25 lbs., so a car would be faster if it's lighter.
Horsepower is calculated from RPM and torque. The higher the RPM you can sustain an engines torque at, the higher the Horsepower. Horsepower and Torque are always the same amount at 5250 RPM with all but diesel powered engines. Also the more rotational mass you can spin at a higher rpm, the more energy it poseses.
It depends on a lot of factors, and would be difficult to answer the question without more specific details. Performance gains could be from 20-100 additional horsepower.
I think its about 120-140 horsepower. But makes a lot of torque at low RPM. More than most V8's
