Yes. I used to work for a company that would give pre-employment drug screenings and post-accident drug screenings on-site. We used a "blanket" drug screening kit which would test one urine sample for up to 9 different types of drugs that could be present in the body. There were 4 different test strips, on which there were reactive agents to the 9 different drugs. If a drug was present in the urine, it would react with the corresponding agent on a test strip and I could see what specific type of drug the sample was reading a positive result to.
In fairness, if a positive result came up and the employee contested it, they could be driven to a facility to have a lab technician take another sample and we would go by the lab's determination as to whether or not a substance was present.
