sure you can break them. It is highly recommended that you don't. Take them as they are. Don't break them, suck the coating off, or crush them. You would only want to do this if you were snorting it or "banging" it.

I'm prescribed three 8mg per day.
I break them all up in to half's and take a half ONLY when I NEED it!
(I found out that I can survive on a 1/2 a tab for almost as long as a whole tab. Which means less money spent on pills and at $6 per pill... you do the math!)
The more you take and the longer you take it... the HARDER it will be to get off Suboxone.

Oxycontin and Oxycodone are the same thing. Oxycontin is made from Oxycodone. Oxycontin is time released so it continuously release the medicine and oxycodone is not time released. It depends on how much of each you take. Say if you take a 40 MG Oxycontin pill and and 4 Oxycodone 10/325, you feel the effects of the 4 oxycodone pills because the Oxycontin time released but they are the same thing. Whichever one you take more MG of will be stronger.
