cut the belt and plug the holes in the block else it will smell like you are on fire.
You can remove it, and route the belt or belts to run the other accesories.
Or you can get the whole pulley system from a 1970 Cadillac and it totally bypassis the smog pump and the put caps in the holes in the heads
