The criteria is not whether the job was full or part time, but on the time period worked and wages earned. For example, they use 2 methods: 1) In two quarters of the first 4 quarters of the last 5 quarters completed, you had to earn $2871 and the total of all four quarters had to be 1 1/2 times the wages in the highest quarter. The second method, at least $16,574.60 earned total for 4 quarters. Refer to the Related Link below.
The question isn't how many hours you worked, but rather how much did you earn in one quarter of the first 4 of the last 5 complete calendar quarters. You had to earn at least $2871 in that quarter.
Your benefits will be impacted more by how much you earn than by how many hours you work. I would guess, even at minimum wage, you would not be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits while working 30 hours per week.
The question isn't how many hours you can work, but how much you earn in a week compared to the benefits you'd be entitled to, which depends on how you qualified for the benefits in the first place.
Because, as anywhere else people have lost their jobs.
99 weeks
Children are not counted in unemployment statistics.
Yes, you may collect unemployment in Illinois if you find a part time job after being laid off, IF your pay is less than the benefits you receive, and you MUST report any income you receive in each week's period. See the Related Link below for more information.
In Illinois it doesn't matter how many hours you work, only the amount you gross during a 7 day period. You are allowed to make up to 50% of your gross weekly unemployment benefits before you start losing money from unemployment. IE...If you gross 100.00 a week from unemployment, you can gross 50.00 from a job and still get a full 100.00 from unemployment. If you make 51.00 from a job, you get 99.00...I would check out your states unemployment website for full details on your state. Hope that helps.
California is 3 hours behind Michigan
You cannot collect absolute retirement (meaning not returning to work) and unemployment benefits because the latter requires you to, among many things, continuously seek full time employment.
HOw many hours does a person have tomiss in a week inKy to draw unemployment?
It depends on where you are leaving in Michigan. From mid-western Michigan, than about 26 hours (1 day and 2 hours).
Many people make nearly as much on unemployment as working. If unemployment ran forever, it is likely that fewer people would ever find work.
