Walter Cunning ham is a nice, sweet and poor boy. He is shy around people and doesn't talk much. He is polite and respectful. His family was hit by the great depression the hardest yet he is still strong and comes to school. He learns to fend for himself with what he has at such an early age. This shows that Walter is strong and also responsible. Unlike Burris Walter continues to go to school even though he might not pass grade 1 for the 4th time because he needs to help his dad in the fields. He is dependable, the way he works for his father and skips school. Walter Cunningham is a great boy that is shy and dependable.

Walter Cunningham is one of the family of Cunningham in the Maycomb County. But it seems that the Cunningham insulted Miss Caroline Fisher during the first day of school. Unfortunately, they were so poor because they couldn't figure out how he could pay back. Walter Cunningham was in Scout's first grade class on Chapter 2 or probably chapter 3. He is too shy, lonely, and hopeless person.
