How do you do a cheerleading indiviual dance?
There are different categories you can compete an individual routine in for cheerleading. You will need to check the specific rules for the competition you are attending, but generally there are three main categories. There is a dance only section where your routine is only a dance, but includes different dance techniques/skills (toe touch is a great point earner). Then there is usually a cheer only section where your routine consists of only a cheer, where you may incorporate skills such as standing tumbling and jumps. Lastly there is a full routine section that will include jumps, running and standing tumbling, cheer, and dance. If you are uncomfortable choreographing your own routine, check in your area for someone who wouldn't mind helping you out.
Can you do an elevator in cheerleading with only 4 people?
yes. those four people would be the two bases, the flyer, and the backspot. that's only if you don't want a frontspot. a front spot isn't necessary, but some people like to have a frontspot just in case.

Most people do not know that cheerleading began as a boys only sport when it was first organized. then girls started joining gradually, and it became what it is today.

Cheerleading is different than other sports because cheering is the only sport that using the organized lifting or throwing of people

you dont do leaps in cheerleading only in dance but maybe like a jump or something
Why is cheerleading an amatuer sport?
Cheerleading is NOT an amateur sport, but everyone thinks it is. People probably think this because only girls participate in this sport most of the time. But the truth is, cheerleading is much harder than most sports. Like I say, "athletes lift weights, cheerleaders lift athletes."
Do you have to autition for cheerleading at your school?
yes, I do. Even though it is a small school and only about 14 girls tryout for it, you still have to. Our Squad is only 8, at least for football cheerleading. Our basket ball is 3 right now and westling is 6 with 2 alternates.
Why did cheerleaders make squads for cheerleading?
To make cheerleading organized and to make sure only the best girls represent the school

I would say it's a 50/50 toss up. Obviously cheerleaders and their family and friends think it's a sport. Many people in the past few years have come to see cheerleading as a sport because competitive cheerleading has become so mainstream. However, many people who only think of traditional lead-the-crowd cheering, so not believe it is a sport
Does Penn Griffin have cheerleading?
