I was told not to, because of the yeast in the beer... not a good idea! but I also know some people who did drink, i guess everyone is different? think about it though better being safe than sorry/ i waited at least 4-days ...

∙ 14y agoNo, it's strongly recommended not to smoke or drink alcohol for at least two weeks after getting it pierced. The body will work harder to protect itself from the alcohol and cigarettes - rejecting the piercing in the process. Not to mention that i would imagine that would hurt on a fresh wound! I smoked and drank after about a week of having mine done even though i was told two weeks, it had healed enough to mean that it didnt get infected or anything horrible, but i did have to wait another week for the swelling to go down enough for them to change down my bar.

∙ 15y agoYes you can however be careful the hot coffee will conduct heat quickly into the barbell so be sure you sipp the coffee slowly. Once you are done you will need to rinse with you oral aftercare rinse "coffee will leave a residue on your tongue".

∙ 12y agoNo, you can't. Alcohol is a blood thinner so it affects the way your body heals wounds. Which is what a piercing is. Wait at least a week to be safe.

i wouldn't clean a tongue piercing with peroxide. when you first get your tongue pierced you're suppose to clean it with antiseptic mouth wash and you are suppose to drink liquids for a whole week when you first get it pierced.

I got my tongue pierced over a week ago and my friend got her's a year before me. She drank on the third night after her piercing, and the swelling on her tongue went down. I also did the same, and swelling also went down. Just be careful, cause when you drink beer that early after piercing it, the tongue will tingle from the carbonation. My tongue ring is almost completely healed now.

You can drink anything as long as it doesn't have yeast in it like beers and dark alcohols. If you do you can get a yeast infection in your mouth. I just got mine done and I'm playing it safe because who wants a yeast infection in your mouth. So check the ingredients and be careful.

Why hot faucet water is not safe to drink?
Burn your tongue and throat is about the only issue. Hot faucet water is no different than cold water you heat on the stove or drink in your coffee.
Caffeine is good at getting your heart pumping so is it good aerobic exercise if you drink coffee?
