you can feed betta fish peas i saw someone on YouTube where their betta liked peas so much they fed them a mixture of peas and pellets. but i recommend doing what i do with my own betta.

i feed him mondays to fridays, and i feed him flakes 1 day then blood worms another.(where i live i cants find pellets) my betta is real small and ive had him for 3 months and he really enjoys it once the fish is in a routen.

Yes betta fish can eat fruit , but don't give them hard fruit or they will choke. I suggest giving them strawberries or mangos. Also make sure to cut them into peices the size of the betta's eyes. It might also change the color of their poop.

If you want to give him veggies in small amounts, you can, but always remember that bettas are primarily carnivores and the fiber from the veggies will simply pass right through them. I used to have a betta who adored broccoli florets, though.

Also remember, that betta fish have a TINY stomach about the size of their eyeball, so regulate your "treats" accordingly. A teensy piece of broccoli floret or a mini slice of pea, but he'll love a fresh juicy bloodworm as a treat a lot more.
