Can you use a diploma from stratford career institute in veterinary assisting to go onto school?

Stratford does offer a high school diploma program that you can do at home. It is a good program, but you should know that the diploma is more to help you get a job since they are currently not accredited.

And as they are not accredited, it won't help much on a job. Because it's not a real degree, and thus you still can't claim to be a high school graduate. Please now input the question "What are some opinions of Stratford Career Institute".

ā 12y agoI tried to join the military with a Stratford Diploma and it isn't recognized anywhere. I called and asked why didnt they make it clear to me that i couldn't actually use it and i was told its in the contract. Wow,what a waste of 600 dollars. So now im back in school taking a continuing education class just because some pricks want to make some extra money. So to anyone who is wondering whether or not to apply,take it from me don't. ā 12y agoBecause Stratford Career Institute is not accredited by an agency recognized by the US dept. of Education it is unlikely that any college would accept a degree from there. Additionally, most states will also be unlikely to recognize the credits earned for any sort of licensure purpose.

ā 11y agoAs long as the diploma is in social worked and you trained for it, then you should be able to get a job as a social worker. Keep in mind of course there will always be more skilled and/or experienced candidates.

ā 14y agoTypically this would not be accepted. Still, you have to choose some colleges of interest, and then inquire about the entrance requirements. If you do not meet the general admissions requirements of the four year colleges and universities, you can certainly start with your home county community college which will be open admissions. After proving yourself there you can then transfer to the four year institution. The community college is a great place to start, and it will be much less expensive.

Stratford is a scam. Stratford Career Institute is not an accredited learning institution, therefore the "diploma" you receive is not likely to be recognized or honored by an employer or college/university. There have also been numerous complaints about fraud, theft, false charges on credit cards, and failure to give refunds when they were supposed to.

The Stratford Career Institute is legit as long as you realize that this is not a university or college. This is a learning aid to prepare you to enter into an accredited course. You will get a diploma but it is only a piece of paper. None of your "classes" will be recognized. Any of the courses I have seen seem to be developed very well and will give you an idea what the degree course will consist of and if you wish to go for the degree. As a prep course they are very useful. Also note that they are an end in themselves if you are looking to improve your own personal life. eg, taking an accounting course so you can do your own books. (I am not affiliated with any college, I have completed 4 distance learning courses)
