I guess it depends how behind you are and if you are currently on a payment plan are you up to date on those payments. The state should have no reason to take more money if you are paying what you can each month, even if you are behind. Your best bet may be to get a lawyer or if you can afford it, just get yourself current with some of the inheritance money. Good Luck.
