No. Glass is an insulator and generally microwave safe.

Use a low power setting to avoid burning your milk.

However:

- Glass that has any metal on it or foil labels will cause sparking and should not be used in a microwave.

- Older glass or any crystal that is faceted, or that contains lead will heat up and possibly shatter in the microwave.

- Any regular glass that is heated unevenly too much will crack or shatter.

For example, if you have a glass half full of something quite dense (like gravy), and microwave it for a long time, the lower half of the glass may become much hotter and cause it to shatter.

This is common with glass plates, I can't nuke my inexpensive glass plates for more than 4 minutes without breaking the plate.

If you're unsure about the microwave safety of any glass

1) Use a short amount of time (ie: 30 sec) and watch for any sparking and carefully test the glass to see if it is getting hot.

2) Use a defrost setting which will allow heat to disperse slowly and evenly.

- Finally, any glass that is heated to a great extreme (for hours) will begin to melt, at which point the glass becomes an ionic conductor, and will absorb microwaves and continue melting further, releasing small amounts of super-heated flammable gas that will burn.

Absolutley, you can place almost any item into a microwave as long as its dimensions to not exceed the internal dimensions of the aforementioned microwave.

For a helpful answer to the question you were actually asking (the above answer is literally sarcastic): you can, but it isn't good for you, so you shouldn't. Some of them melt easier than others in the microwave. It's also overall recommended not to heat plastic items with anything you're consuming. Like not drinking bottled water that his been left out in the sun in your car.

A sealed Water bottle can explode.

A lidless bottle, it would depend on the type of plastic, if any harmful chemicals will leach into the water during microwaving, or if the plastic may get soft and be ruined. Some plastics are microwave safe.

it is also very fun to experiment on and watch u should try 2 XD

Yes. Stir water or any other liquid after heating in the microwave to disperse any spatters.

Second answer:

Yes. Microwave ovens are specifically designed to heat water molecules.

Yes, if the microwave oven is big enough and if the bottle has no remaining foil. It does escape reason why you would want to do so, however. Also, one hopes that you will have sense enough to uncork it first.

Is it safe to put a spoon in the microwave?

You should never leave a metal spoon in a microwave, and expect to have a working microwave later on. As far as food poisoning, that usually comes from contaminated food, improperly prepared food, etc. There hasn't really been any reports of cases involving leaving a spoon in food in a microwave leading to food poisoning. However, if in doubt, see a doctor.

Is hull brown drip pottery microwave safe?

I don't know, but you could give the pottery a microwave test. Put one cup of water in the pottery cup or bowl, put it in the microwave for one minute 15 seconds. take it out. Feel the water, if it is only lukewarm and the cup or bowl feels hot, it is NOT microwave safe ( the pottery is absorbing the microwaves instead of the water ). If the water feels hot, it is microwave safe.
