Can you hook up Satellite TV and still keep cable internet?

Yes.

What kind of internet service can I get if I have satellite tv instead of cable?

There are a few options, you can still get cable even without cable tv, DSL, or old fashion dial up. I recommend going with DSL because it seems to be the cheapest of the high speed internet services and still has comprable speeds to cable.

How good is cable tv service?

Cable TV service, especially digital cable TV, is as good as satellite TV. The only difference is, cable TV is still there when a storm occurs and won't have to keep searching for a connection like satellite TV is known to do.

Is satellite tv and satellite internet going to combine?

Satellite TV and High Speed Internet are bundles offered by the 2 major satellite tv providers in the US. The High Speed Internet via satellite package that they are offering is powered by WildBlue. Unfortunately, there is still no news if they are going to combine the service into 1 satellite dish. If you get satellite tv and a satellite internet package it will require professional installation, separate equipments, and a separate satellite dish.

Is wireless TV better than cable?

That's a tough one. We've had `wireless TV' since the first TV broadcast transmitter went on the air. It was free and still is. Then came cable and it was followed by satellite systems. I've had both cable and satellite. My personal preferences are for one of the satellite providers over cable, but unless you can get a good `line of sight' to the satellite with your receiving dish, you may have no choice but to opt out for cable. NO, NAOL IS

Can you get free cable from wireless internet?

NO. You still have to pay for it. It takes a different converter box to get Cable TV.

Which is better, cable television or satellite?

This is always a personal choice, but for the money and reliability cable is still consider the better choice over satellite. This is because any storm can cause interruption in reception for a satellite dish, however, cable being hard wired keeps going strong.

How is cable internet better than another type of internet?

Primarily because cable TV is more reliable. In many cases, very bad weather can knock out satellite coverage temporarily, while cable will generally stay alive. This isn't absolute, though. There was a massive windstorm in the midwest in September 2008, and my cable was still down for three days.

should i get cable or satellite services?

when it comes to usability and affordability, satellite tv is still the better choice. you can go to the website provided to know more about satellite tv. Satellite TV is cheaper than cable TV in most cases, but the weather affects satellite way more than cable TV, it the wind blows, if it gets very cloudy or rainstorms satellite will go out, snow affects reception also. Your local cable provider has techs on standby in almost all cases of bad weather to fix whatever interrupts the service. Also most of the time your local cable franchise provider has techs that are highly trained and are not paid per job so they make sure the job is done to the customers satisfaction.

What are my options to satellite TV if I still want to get a lot of channels?

Satellite TV is a very good thing to do if you want a lot of channels because they offer that and most of the time cheaper in price than Cable.

Is dish cable or antenna?

Dish TV is a satellite service that is offered for people to watch cable television. It does involve the introduction of some cables to the home but is still considered a satellite service rather than a cable service or an antenna service.

I live in a large city. Should I consider getting television service from a satellite TV company, or just get cable like my neighbors?

When it comes to price and number of channels, satellite TV is the way to go since it is cheaper and you get double the amount of channels as cable. However cable may still be your best choice if you watch certain area sports teams since they may be on cable tv stations only, such as Comcast in Philadelphia.
