Can you hook computer directly to tv?

yes, you can directly hook up a speaker to your lcd only if you have speakers with built-in amplifire,pioneer has them,they are quit big thoug ,but after i bought my lcd now, i can't find them,luky me lol .

External speakers can be connected to most televisions but it is dependant on the model. It is certainly desirable to use external speakers with most televisions as the internal speakers are normally of lower quality than is desirable.

Some televisions may have speaker connectors in which case, speakers can be connected directly to it. Normally, a reasonable sound will be obtained but as the amplifier within the television is usually fairly small, don't expect to be deafened by the volume.

The other method that can be used is to use the headphone socket. Normally, this is a 1/8" (3.5mm) jack socket. When a connector is inserted, the internal speakers are turned off. The output can be taken to an amplifier and the to a pair of speakers. As the choice of amplifier and speaker is down to the user, the sound system can be as powerful as is wanted. Other than obtaining the right lead to connect to an amplifier, there are no special considerations needed to hook up a sound system in this way.

Note: Some televisions emit a popping noise as they turn on or off. If the amplifier is running at a high volume, this may damage the speakers. Until you are sure that the television does not suffer from this, ensure that the volume of the amplifier is kept at a low level while turning the TV on or off.

Some LCD TV doesn't have a headphone socket but a Optical link only.

In this case, the Digital signal that goes out the television can be converted into an Analog signal to fit most common speakers (computer speakers, etc.).

In order to realize this, you would need to buy an "Digital to Analog audio converter".

yes you can. deppends on your stereo or tv. there should be a red and white plug in your tv and stereo, plug your video player xbox etc... into T.V if you have 2 inputs then you can plug in two things simple as that, then plug your av cord to the output on your T.V to the input of your stereo if confused input and out put should be marked on T.V and stereo. :)

You can if they provide their own power(you have to plug them into the wall) and they have a audio plug that will plug into you tv like a headphone jack. but usually a tv's speakers are better than standard computer speakers if they are built into your computer then you cant use them except for your computer.

As long as your TV has an audio output you can use your PC speakers. You will probably require a RCA to 3.5 mm adapter cable though.

You can but you need a speacial adapter, one end should be either look like the end of a classic computer keyboard or just be a usb! The other end depends on what fits your tv! :)
