I stood an egg up today, September 22, 2010, also known as the autumnal equinox. I've also heard that you can stand an egg up every solstice and equinox, but my chemistry teacher said that is can only happen on the autumnal equinox.
At any time.
I tried it on the Autumnal equinox one year, and it worked , and I have pictures of it.
Egg is much stronger when it's standing because there's a hard part on the bottom of an egg shell. Try squeezing an egg on it's bottom with your finger and you'll be surprise.
Certainly yes but some of them do not as they have a bit of curve at the bottom but even though there is a curve it could stand rarely.
If you stand on an egg, it will break, regardless of it's position.
To cover a boiled egg on an egg stand to keep it warm.
Spin the egg on a flat surface, a raw egg will wobble as the contents are liquid, a soft boiled egg will try to stand up, and a hard boiled egg will stand up and spin without wobbling as it is solid inside.
