Can you mix alprazolam and oxycodone together?

A doctor would never prescribe these drugs together except under extreme conditions which don't allow for other sedatives/pain management.

As for recreational use, this combination of drugs has been recently dubbed the Heath Ledger Cocktail, as this mixture (in low doses, mind you, was the cause of the actors sudden death. Death leading from this drug-drug interaction is more common in the elderly and anyone with depressed circulatory or central nervous conditions.

So, if this is a recreational question, the answer is yes and no. I've known people that have used signifcant amounts of each separately, and eventually they combined them. But that's not to say that they weren't playing Russian Roulette.

(I am not a doctor)  I have been taking 300mgs of Lamictal once a day for 10 years due to a seizure disorder as well as Xanax for anxiety.  In that time I have been prescribed vicodin and Percocet for a few dental issues.  I noticed no adverse effects.  It may be only subjective, but I did notice that it wasn't as effective as ibuprofen.  So it is possible that Lamictal may reduce the effectiveness of pain killers.  But as with any drug you are unsure about, always consider what other medications you are currently prescribed.

I wouldn't recomment it. Oxymorphone is a strong narcotic. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine and the combination of the two can be lethal depending on tolerance ect. Xanax increases the chances of a narcotic overdose. Oxymorphone itself can cause an overdose to someone with a low opiate tolerance due to the fact that it is a pretty strong narcotic. Be careful and know your dose. If you have no exerience with either, then don't even attempt it. You may not die but waking up in a hospital due to a drug overdose can be embarrassing.
