Yes, what I do is, I play with mine all day and make it tired and then let it cleep at night. Continue to do this, until your hamster in noy nocturnal and knows ehrn to get up and when to sleep.
Rodents are either nocturnal or crepuscular 'NOT' diurnal. Rats' mice etc: are nocturnal meaning most active during the night, dust to dawn. However, Syrian hamsters are crepuscular meaning they are most active during twilight hours. That in the evening, just as it is going dark, and early morning just as it is coming light again. They are 'instinctive' or 'innate' behaviour's and cannot be changed.
What i do is just play with them heaps in the day so they will be more tired in the night and keep doing that until they sleep in the night
you can,if your hamster is awake.if your hamster is still asleep,i prefer not to awaken it suddenly because it might bite you.
You cannot change it.
If you have a problem that you cant play with it in the afternoon because it sleeps you should just play with it at night...
I'm not sure why, but you can train your hamster to become not nocturnal. The best way is to put it in a room separate from an open area. Close the windows in the daytime and leave the lights on at night. If your hamster is young enough, after a couple of weeks your hamster will be trained.
No,you see hamsters are nocturnal so that's normal my hamster does the same and hes a boy
If your hamster runs away from you, it might mean that he or she is afraid of you, but it might also mean that the hamster is simply not trained. You can train a hamster to come to you by rewarding the hamster with food each time it climbs onto your hand.
It's just the breed. All Hamsters need to sleep for a long time. I have a teddy bear hamster, and she is actually very active. Some hamsters though, do sleep a lot. They are nocturnal, so they sleep a lot during the day
She may be trying to hibernate. Hamsters are not allowed to hibernate. They are nocturnal creatures, so they love the dark. But she might just be storing food, to eat later my hamster does that, but puts it in her bedding! aww :D
Hmm did train in to do that? Mines nocturnal so I don't know

To do what!?!?!?
Actually, yes. Since they are nocturnal critters, they will cooperate better during evening or dawn. Try not to wake it up to begin your training session. Let it get up on its own so he/she can trust you more. Don't forget, praise your hamster with a treat if he/she performed the trick.
