You can always run under a receptacles rating. This just means how much current can be drawn thru the breaker before it will trip.

What is the English translation of Run Devil Run by SNSD?

Behave. You're too much of a bad boy. You're too curious. I was cheated on at that time, all because of you. No fun, no manners. You, devil, devil, you, you. You changed one letter (one letter) of all the girls' names in your cellphone. I can smell the abundance of perfume on you. Explain to me, (explain to me), who's it is. (Hey) That habit, of you meeting girls without me knowing, still didn't go away? Even if you run, it's obvious. You better run, run, run, run, run. I won't give in, I'll just kick you. You better run, run, run, run, run. Even if you beg me not to leave, I don't care anymore. (Hey) I'll come back even better and i'll get revenge. Don't forget it. You better run, run, run, run, run. You're caught, and i'm angry. Run, devil, devil, run, run. Even next to me, you're with another girl. When i'm not here, (not here) you're a super playboy. Raise your chin, and respond to me. (respond to me) No fun, no manners. You, devil, devil, you, you. No fun, no manners. Run, devil, devil, run, run. There's no one else like me, anywhere. You made a mistake. I'm so much better than all of those other girls. What do you want to do with all that? Do you think you're that great? Didn't I tell you not to play around? Didn't I tell you to be good to me until I stopped loving you? You better run, run, run, run, run. I won't give in, I'll just kick you. You better run, run, run, run, run. Even if you beg me not to leave, I don't care anymore. (Hey) I'll come back even better and i'll get revenge. Don't forget it. You better run, run, run, run, run. (you better run, run, run) There's so many guys in this world, so it doesn't matter if you're not there. Until the day I find a boy that only cares for me, I'll wait by myself.

Can you plug equipment rated for 50A into a 30A circuit?

Yes, with a caveat. The 50A wire and plug is more than heavy enough for the dryer, so there is no problem there. The possible problem is that the dryer is designed to be protected by a 30A breaker. In the event of failure in the dryer, the breaker may not trip as it is oversized. The best solution? Get a small breaker box from a home center and mount a 30A breaker in it. Mount it on the back of the dryer, run the 50A cord into the feed lugs of the box, and connect the dryer feed to the 30A breaker. This way you can plug the dryer into the 50A outlet like you want, and the dryer is protected with a 30A breaker as usual. You can get small breaker boxes or fused disconnects without too much cost. Just make sure the breaker box / disconnect panel is rated to 50A, as you want to feed it off a 50A circuit. As long as the voltage requirement of the dryer matches the voltage of the outlet (which is presumably 240 volts), then yes. The amp rating of the cord and outlet is merely the maximun current (amps) allowed. You're well under that with 24 amps.

Can you operate a 30 amp dryer on a 50 amp receptacle?

Yes and no. You can't put a 30A outlet on a 50A breaker as it will be a fire hazard. You can put a 50A outlet on it safely. Then you can plug the 30A load into it, but this is unwise and can be dangerous if you don't put fuses in your pigtail adapter. The best solution: Go ahead and install your 30A outlet but replace the 50A breaker with a 30A breaker. This is the safest and cleanest solution.

How do you upgrade a 30A outlet to a 50A outlet can I just change the outlet and upgrade the circuit breakers?

No. The receptacle, wiring, and breaker ratings should all be matched properly. Replacing the 50A receptacle with a 30A receptacle isn't a problem, since the wire should be rated at least 50A. But a 30A receptacle should be protected with a 30A double pole breaker. The breaker only costs about $8.00, so why wouldn't you change it given you don't have to change the wire which would actually be expensive or time consuming? The fact that you mention a 50A receptacle protected by a 20A existing breaker isn't normal either. I would check to make sure the wiring is actually rated for 50A and that someone didn't just throw a 50A receptacle onto a 20A circuit. (This means your wiring should be at least #8AWG THHN Copper wire.) If you protected a 30A receptacle with a 20A breaker, the load might trip the breaker often, considering the appliance requiring a 30A receptacle probably requires about 30A. If you do not understand the work well enough to accomplish it yourself properly and safely, don't try it. Consult a professional electrician, as they are proficient enough to do it properly and safely. When working on electrical circuits and equipment, make sure to de-energize the circuit you will be working on. Then test the circuit with a definitive means to make sure it is off (multimeter with metal tipped leads, voltage tester with metal tipped leads, etc., not a non-contact tester, which is non-definitive.)

My 110 washer will work my 220 dryer will work. why will it throw breaker when both are plugged in on separate breakers?

Your 110 volt washer receptacle sounds like it is not a dedicated circuit directly fed from the distribution panel as it should be. It sounds like someone has tapped off of one side of the dryer receptacle hot and neutral terminals and run them to the receptacle for the washer. If true, this would have been done in the back side of the dryer receptacles which is located in the wall. You best get it checked out because it is likely the wire feeding the washer receptacle is a #14 rated at 15 amps and is undersized for a 30 amp breaker. A #10 wire has the capacity to be connected to a 30 amp breaker which you should find the dryer's connection to be.

How do you install a 12v power receptacle on your motorcycle?

Run a fused power line from the receptacle to either the battery for constant Hot or to the fuse box for an ignition controlled receptacle and ground the receptacle either by mounting on a metal surface or run a ground wire from the body of the receptacle to a good chasis ground

How heavy is a typical laundry dryer?

Most residential dryers run off a 30A 240V outlet. Indiviually their power ratings will vary, but they shouldn't draw more than 5.7kW. The typical dryer weighs something over 100 pounds to something under 150 pounds. Kind of a big window, but without specifics....

Why wont your Electric Clothes dryer turn on anymore?

Assuming your dryer blower does run, then you must have one of the phases dropping out. Check all electrical connections at the breaker or fuse box, dryer receptacle, and wiring going into the dryer. If your blower runs, then your neutral is probably okay. Check one of the "hot" leads. I suspect one has come loose, or wasn't fastened at all.

Can you run 8 gauge thhn wire for 30a circuit?

Is it possible to run a dryer to do laundry off a car battery with no problem?

No, the battery connected to an inverter would not have near enough power to run a dryer.

Can you run a new 30A dryer on a 50A receptacle and breaker by using the old 50A dryer's cord?

Answer for USA, Canada and countries running a 60 Hz power supply service.NO.The wiring and the breakers on the 30 Amp circuit supplying the 30 Amp outlet would not be able to supply enough power to a 50 Amp dryer. As you asked this question it is best for you to ask a licensed electrician to advise you - he would be able to install a new 50 Amp power circuit for you to use your new dryer safely.Notes from a professional appliance installer and electrician:As I read the question, you want to use a 50amp cord on the dryer. I have never heard of a dryer that draws 50amps, so I'm guessing that you have a 50 amp cord that you want to use on your dryer. the answer is no, but not for electrical reasons. A 50 amp cord (and outlet) has three straight prongs (and maybe a fourth round ground prong). 30amp cords have have two straight prongs and an L shaped (neutral) prong (and maybe a fourth round ground prong). A 50amp cord will physically not fit into a 30amp outlet. I would suggest getting the proper cord for the dryer. If you do in fact have some sort of high amperage commercial dryer I would suggest not plugging it into a 30 amp circuit. It will wind up tripping the circuit when the heat cycle starts. As always, if you are in doubt about what to do, the best advice anyone should give you is to call a licensed electrician to advise what work is needed. Before you do any work yourself,on electrical circuits, equipment or appliances, always use a test meter to ensure the circuit is, in fact, de-energized.IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY SURE YOU CAN DO THIS JOBSAFELY AND COMPETENTLYREFER THIS WORK TO QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.More InfoYour "50a dryer cord" is one of a kind, unless it's some sort of one-off commercial variety. Residential dryers draw a maximum 30 amps of current, and are generally supplied with 30-amp pigtails, similar to what has been described above, with the L-shaped ground prong. A 50-amp cord -- the sort generally used for electric ranges -- will NOT fit into a 30-amp outlet. This arrangement (called "indexing") is meant to protect consumers from mismatching the two common 240 VAC appliance hookups. If you're wondering whether an electric dryer can be run from a 50-amp outlet -- yep, all day and all night and to the end of time. All that needs to happen is to provide a 50-amp pigtail for the dryer. The dryer DRAWS amps, it doesn't RECEIVE them at the whim of the circuit. It will draw no more than usual on a 50-amp circuit. An electric range -- normally a 50-amp 220-240 VAC appliance -- can be run on a 30-amp circuit... if you run just one or two burners at a time. The appliance is amp-rated based on all four (or six) burners and the oven all being on at the max settings all at the same time. Obviously, this seldom happens in real life. The worst thing that can happen when doing so -- in a properly wired building -- is that a breaker would pop.
