Visually, that is correct, most of the time. The new moon happens when the moon is directly between the earth and the sun. So without very special equipment, it cannot be seen. However, this is the time when eclipses of the sun happen, and during eclipses we 'see' the moon eclipse the sun. We don't see very much detail; we see the moon in the sense that we don't see what the moon is blocking.
During the new moon you can't see no bright side because the sun is facing away from the moon.
The moon cycle starts over.
The sun is not reflecting on the moon
We see solar eclipses only during New Moon, but not every New Moon is accompanied by a solar eclipse.
We only see the Moon because it reflects light from the Sun. During a new moon, the far side is illuminated, and the near side is not.
well by you can't see the moon, I think you mean new moon. You have a new moon during a solar eclipse (moon is blocking the sun)
The lunar surface.
All of the Moon's lighted side is visible during the full moon.
During a new moon, the side of the moon that is illuminated by sunlight is facing away from Earth so that the dark side of the moon is facing Earth. However, during a total solar eclipse (and with protective gear for your eyes) you can see the moon at the time of new moon. You will see the night time face of the moon without any detail at all.

Because a new moon is between the sun and the earth. Therefore, we see the shaded side of the moon whch disappears during the daytime. A new moon can be seen with a very high power telescope, but not with the unaided eye.
Because the side of the moon facing us is in the dark. Also, the moon is too close to the sun to be visible. It is possible to see a new moon with the right telescope. A new moon is also visible during a total solar eclipse.
