the 38 S&W cartridge is shorter the the 38 special and the 38 S&W cylinder is also shorter the the 38 special cylinder. both colt and S&W make the 38 S&W cartridge or 38 short cartridge..........................
Colt made a single action army revolver that used 32.23 ammo & I believe Winchester, Colt lightning, Savage & Remington made 32.20 rifles,if that answers your question
yes, but don't shoot the P ammo too often
38 caliber revolver ammo
Be aware! Never fire ammunition in a weapon not chambered for it! Stick to the .45 colt ammo.
The .38 Short Colt catridge may be safely fired in a .38 Special revolver. Not ALL 38 Colts- .38 Short Colt.
if it's a revolver......32 cal revolver ammo if it's a pistol......32 cal pistol ammo
32/20
Yes
No. A .357 Magnum revolver (not an automatic, lever action, or anything else with a headspaced chamber) can fire .38 S&W Special ammo, but not .38 Long Colt.
32/20
Yes
The short answer is "no!". The cartridge may fire, but the case will split and the bullet will go somewhere downrange. Not pretty.
