Most Nyquil contains alcohol as a solution (unless you buy the alchol-free type), and metronidazole cannot be taken with alcohol. When taken together, nausea and increased heartbeats are potential side effects. The recommendation is that alcohol should not be taken until 3 days after you have finished your last dose of metronidazole, so a similar recommendation would be given for any Nyquil with alcohol content. If you are not certain, please reach out to your pharmacist for a more personal recommendation.

∙ 11y agoThis is a tricky question. If you are taking metronidazole with the pill form of Tylenol Sinus, you will be OK. If you take this with the liquid form you could potentially become very ill. Liquid medications often contain alcohol and metronidazole cannot be taken with any alcohol, even in small amounts.

Because they both contain antihistamines, they will cause a reaction. Tylenol PM has the same antihistamine as Benadryl and it is not recommended that you take Zyrtec and Benadryl at the same time. Contact you doctor to verify if you can take your Zyertec in the morning (as usually prescribed) and the Tylenol in the evening. Zertec is a long acting antihistamine and should be out of your system before you go to bed. The Tylenol PM is a short acting antihistamine and would be out your system before your morning dosage.
