u can only trade with Pokemon games on the ds with ds Pokemon games (diamond pearl, iono about platinum) the gba games cannot. all u need to do is put 2 ds close to each other and that's it. all u do is do the pokecenter thing.

∙ 10y agoThe Desmume emulataor does have the capability for internet options however its incredibly slow and often doesn't work. It might be more possible in the future for DS roms to trade with each other but as of right now its not.

∙ 8y agoYou can't trade on just one DS. You need someone else with a game to trade with you. You can also migrate Pokemon from GBA games, but you don't trade between them.
