Google allows use of screen shots on public web sites if you follow its guidelines (see links below) including unaltered images with full attribution, etc.

Three requirements from Google's permission guidelines:
  • All uses of Google Maps and Google Earth and its Content must provide attribution to Google and our suppliers.
  • Google does not approve of any use of Content without proper attribution.
  • Depending on the region, the Content provider may be Google alone or Google and one or more 3rd party providers.
