Actually yes you can, Solo Mobile has now joined the HSPA Network in Canada and has also started using Sim cards, if you have an unlocked iPhone than go to your nearest solo mobile kiosk and buy a Sim card for 35$, pop it in and your good to go. Ive been using my iPhone for 2 weeks with solo, also they'll try a demo SIM in your phone before to make sure that the phone itself is compatible.
You will have to first get the phone unlocked.
No
In theory, yes. T-Mobile is actually the carrier for the iPhone in Germany. Keep in mind, however, that unlocking an iPhone completely voids its warranty, and if anything happens to it, the only recourse is to purchase a new iPhone. Apple will not service a broken iPhone if it is unlocked.
AT&T SIM card is needed or if jailbroken/unlocked you can use T-MOBILE
If you get it unlocked it should work. One way to make sure is that if your iphone is able to use T-mobile sim you are guaranteed your phone to work in Ethiopia.
No it has to be unlocked
Yes, the GSM version of the iPhone is useable on the T-Mobile network, but it must first be unlocked. If you bring an At&t iPhone to a T-Mobile store, they will unlock it, and give you a proper sim card for it.
Well... if you have an unlocked iPhone, you can ditch roaming charges and grab a quick SIM card for Fido Mobile or something. Just slip it into your phone and begin using that carrier.
AT&T/Verizon allows you to use an unlocked phone. Also there are many models of the Apple IPhone. AT&T is less expensive than most of the unlocked phones. The company pays part of the cost.
Well you technically can use a SIM Card for the network of you have an unlocked iPhone, but in most cases, you will only have access to the EDGE (very weak) network for carriers that run AWS bandwidth like T-Mobile.
when a phone is unlocked it means andy service provider is going to be able to be used in that phone. in other words, virgin mobile should work
Unlocked phones can be used with any carrier, so it will support T-Mobile.
