Could it be possible for a human to be genetically engineered to control their pores from opening and closing?

The question of the future will not be can it be possible, but rather do we want to mess with nature. To control something like pores makes the assumption that we know all about pores and how they help us and how they hurt us. In fact we know very little about how we work, messing with it will usually have bad results that will make us regret messing with it in the first place.
