If you haven't taken the ACT/SAT you have to take it, or you did not do well on it you still have to take it.
If you're a Floridian student and you passed your 10th grade FCAT Math & Reading above a level 3, you don't have to worry about the ACT/SAT**, nor the CPT.
**Though, it is recommended that you do so, if you're planning to transfer out MDC.
If you fail the CPT you can take it again 3 times a year(or semester, they change their rules often). The first time is free, and additional re-takes are about $10-$20.
The CPT center is open at 8am-4pm from Monday-Friday. So, you can come in at anytime.
The CPT is valid for two years.
The Test is not timed
CPT stands for College Placement Test. It is not a pass or fail test. This test is given to determine the level of math, English, and reading courses a student needs to start in.
