Honestly, This one is R rated. Had a night auditor (midnight shift) whom the owner had hired and he really liked him. The guy got caught manipulating himself to animal porn on the guest computer by a guest! When the guest knocked on the window the guy froze, just sat there like no one would see him if he did not move! When confronted the next day by the GM the guy admits what he did! Of course I fired him right away. I compensated the guest by not charging for their stay and offering a few more free nights. The guest was so impressed with my response that she still goes to that hotel every year. I can not believe what some employees think that they can get away with! Now I do not hire people until they have had a background check and a drug test.

This is known as a competency based interview question.. In this type of interview the recruiter asks you questions about where you have shown examples of the competencies they are looking for in any particular job. A fairly typical list of competencies might look like this (you need to pick the ones most relevant to the job you are applying for)

The interviewer will ask for example, 'could you tell me about a time where you had to work as part of a team, and how you did that?'

You should make sure before the interview you have done your research and have examples of where you have shown each competency. To answer the question you should use the CAR format.

C = context - What was the situation

A= Action - What did you do

R = Result - what happened as a result of the action that you took

First, the customer is always right. This is why in any hard position you must always give an answer to please the customer, whether you are economical with the truth or not. In many positions salesmen will try to embarrass you into silence i.e someone you are buying a laptop and you ask why it is so thick. Do not give in if they say "oh the dual core triple inch excel/Intel processor is linked to the floppy disk and the hard drive so naturally it will be thick." This is them trying to con you into thinking there is something amazing about your computer. DO NOT FALL FOR SUCH TECHNICAL JARGON.
