Yes. Hitler was a decorated veteran of WW1. He had seen war and he had seen the shame his country faced at the end of WW1 when the blame for the war was placed squarely on Germany. He, and many others, resented that. Many people, Hitler included, blamed the Jews for the result of WW1, thus the reason that Hitler's antisemitism was so all consuming.

i believe it did because Hitler was a soldier on the front line who was blinded by mustard gas and had to recover in a hospital and as he recovered he swore to get revenge for Germany
