In a case such as this it is always best to stick to the facts. Those being from police reports, court proceedings, and medical/autopsy reports. JonBenet had been garroted and suffered skull fractures. Either one or both simultaniously was the cause of death. She had signs of both acute and chronic sexual abuse. The FBI stated the crime scene was likely staged. There was no evidence of an intruder, the ransom note was most likely written by a middled aged woman, raised in a southern state.* The evidence did not match the Ramsey's official statements. The ransom note was completely inconsistant with what would be expected in this sort of crime. The crime scene was compromised from the start. Boulder law enforecement did not adhere to the strict protocol required of any kidnapping or suspected homicide. Those are the facts, from the people that worked the case. It seems that everyone has very strong opinions with this cold case. But the evidence speaks volumes, we just have to listen.

*Linguists study and analyze speech patterns, ect. and can tell a great deal about an individual by how they form sentences and phrases. They do not analyze handwriting.

As typical of high profile cold cases, over time it is hard to determine fact from fiction. It is vital to stick to the documented facts in order to gain perspective of the crime and possibly the killer.

The FBI's statement was the crime scene is typical of 'staging' or rearranging the scene after the crime. Furthermore there was no evidence at all that supported an intruder as perpertrator theory. This includes footprints in the snow at any of the entry points in the Ramsey house. Spiderwebs by the broken basement window. The type of spider at the broken window takes about 48 hours to repair or rebuild a disrupted web.

The ransom note was highly suspicious. It rambled on through multiple pages, and was written on paper from the Ramsey's kitchen. There were practice sheets found in the garbage. In simpler terms whomever wrote that note started over several times throwing away the false starts.

The body was found in a tiny room in the Ramsey's basement, a room that very few people had knowledge of. The child was killed inside the home with items that belonged to the Ramseys.

The Ramsey's behaviour was suspicious, in fact everything to do with the murder was suspect. To seasoned detectives it was obvious the Ramsey's knew more than they claimed. The entire scenario made no sense at all.

Had this actually been a kidnap for profit the evidence would have told a completely different story. Kidnappers come prepared with tools needed, short note already written, would have taken the child with them when they left. Even if she was already dead the body would have been kept at least until the ransom was paid. There would have been footprints in the snow. They would not have remained in the home for an extended time, taking a chance of being discovered at any moment. The evidence points to a person that was very

comfortable in the home and had an intimate knowledge of it's floorplan.

These are just a few of the facts in this very complicated case, compiled by the detectives and federal agents that worked the case. The evidence points in only one direction.

Answer:

I am always amazed at the controversy surrounding the Ramsey case. Yes it's unsolved and yes it's cold, but the evidence is overwhelming as to the guilty party. It is rediculous to think that somebody broke into their house to kidnap a small child (or anybody for that matter) without a ransom note, without a weapon, without making a sound, spending at least 2 hours in a house commiting a crime, leaving a body dead or alive, asking only $118,000 ransom, hiding the child in a room tucked way back in the dark basement that even the Ramseys closest friends did not know existed or would not have been able to find, left no tracks in the snow, either coming in or going out, no forced entry, and the list goes on.

Briefly compare it to the Lindeberg kidnapping. The kidnapper, had the note, short and sweet, had the ladder to get access to the child's room, was in and out in probably less than 5 minutes. The longer a suspect remains in the house the more likely he is to get caught. It is vital to get in and out quickly, which he did. He asked for an appropriate amount of money for the era. The parents were contacted as to the ransom drop off. The baby's body was found close the the family home. But dead or alive, it would not benefit the kidnapper to leave the child in the house. If he was dead the parents won't find out until after the kidnapper has his money. In other words, if the parents know the baby is already dead they sure won't pay the ransom, so it is in the best interest of the kidnapper to remove the child.

These are just a few of the reasons that the Ramsey's story just does not work. A lot of people think that because there was no DNA to prove one way or another that the Ramsey's could not be the killer. This is not true. The fact is that in the week leading up to the murder of JonBenet, the Ramseys had several hundred people in and out of their house. JonBenet had also been visiting with her parents to friends and family's houses since it was Christmas time. It is only logical that there would be DNA that did not belong to the family and even their close circle of friends. One hair dropped in a downstairs room can be carried to a 3rd floor room by chance in a very short time.

And the last, but to me the most telling is the way JonBenet's body was left. This is very telling. She was covered up with her favorite blanket, (made comfortable) and almost tucked in just like in bed. Whomever killed that child had a relationship, a history with her. People do things when under stress and they are not even aware of what they are doing or why they are doing it. The FBI concluded that the crime scene had been staged, probably by people that are not criminals. The ransom note was analized by a linguist and the conclusion was as follows:Note written by a woman, college educated, from the South, middle-aged, upper middle class. Does this sound like anyone we know?

In conclusion, nobody wants to believe that a parent can kill their own child, but the fact is it happens every day. Even wealthy, attractive, articulate, college educated people kill their children. So do they abuse them sexually and physically, as JonBenet had been. The sad part is that there will probably never be justice for JonBenet. Patsy Ramsey has sinse died of cancer. John Ramsey has somewhat moved on or tried to, so if anyone were to help this case it would have to be Burke Ramsey, JonBenet's older brother. Maybe after his father's death he will want to talk about it. But don't hold your breath on that one.

Somebody, obviously Ultra(beyond) Sick wanted her dead. A beautiful Girl Child- and on Christmas Day- somebody had folded Bat Wings- this is a Demonic crime! evidence points to an internal struggle- Not a forcible entry or B&E. this is a bit like the Dragnet tale (the Jade Robbery) which was a crime that never happened- the victim( senior citizen type) made it up! here, however a Girl Child, and on Christmas, was murdered. as I say there are demons afoor.

According to the evidence available including both autopsy reports, JonBenet was most likely killed by someone who knew her very well. The FBI stated that the crime scene was staged, the ransom note was faked, the parents were acting very strangely, she was hidden in a part of their home that was unknown to almost everyone except the immediate family and these are just to name a few.

Hopefully someday Burke Ramsey will be able to tell the truth about what happened in the house on December 25-26, 1996.

There has never been an arrest in the Ramsey murder case, but a close, hard look at the crime, crime scene and suspects can give us clues as to who is responsible for the death of this child.

The crime was first reported as an abduction. Within hours, it was clear this was not a child abduction case. The evidence tells us there was no intruder, forced entry, no robbery, everything for the crime was found to have come from the inside of the Ramsey's house. JonBenet was the victim of acute and cronic sexual abuse, which means she had been sexually abused recently (near time of death) and past (old scarring) from at least months before her death. The way the body was cared for at the time of death denotes the killer was not a stranger, had an emotional bond with the victim. The body was found in a place that only family and a couple of friends even knew existed. These are just the highlights of the case. There are many reasons to believe that JonBenet was killed by someone inside of that house. This narrows the suspect list to two people. John or Patsy Ramsey. JonBenet's older brother Burke was also home at the time of the murder but he has been cleared.

So this is what the evidence tells us happened in that house in the early morning hours after Christmas 1996. When something like this happens, we need to keep one thing in mind. John and Patsy Ramsey don't look like the type of people that would kill their own child. But, and this is a big but, statistics tell us that people like the Ramseys do kill their own. Statistics tell us that sexual abuse knows no social or economic bounderies, or race, religion, ect. The Boulder DA put the case to a grand jury to see if there was enough evidence to make an arrest, and prosecute successfully John and Patsy Ramsey. The conclusion was there was not evidence for successful prosecution. Not that the Ramsey's didn't do it, but there was not enough evidence for conviction. This is an important point. You have to keep in mind that the Ramsey's DNA was everywhere in that house. It was their house, where they lived. Keep in mind also that the body had been cleaned, destroying any undisturbed evidence of her killer. There is almost nobody involved in this case (detectives, FBI, ect) that felt this was the work of an intruder. They feel this way not because they didn't like the Ramseys and wanted to see them hang. They felt this way because this is what the evidence says actually happened. This is what their years of crime detection and experience told them happened. This is where the focus needs to stay.

The cause of death was one or a combination of asphyxiation by garrot/strangulation and severe head trauma.
