No Creedence Clearwater Revival didn't record The House of the Rising Sun. The version that is most often miss-associated with them was the version recorded by the Animals. There are many MP3s that were mislabeled. The previous answer said that it was in "Creedence Collection Vol 2" which was not an actual album. It was the equivalent to an MP3 "mix tape." Other notable songs on this "Creedence mix tape" included "Old Time Rock -n- Roll" which was actually Bob Seger and "American Woman" which was actually the Guess Who.

The House of The Rising Sun was originally recorded in 1933 by Tom Ashley and Gwen Foster, though it's much older than that.

"House of the Rising Sun" has been recorded by many artists, but probably the most famous version is from 1967, by English band "The Animals", sung by Eric Burdon. I do not believe it was ever recorded by Pink Floyd.

Yes... & no. Elvis did sing a rendition of "House of the Rising Sun" during several concert performances in the 1970s. Some of the live versions were made available to the public on album & cassette... but not once did he do a studio recording of the song. It will not appear as a single or as a track on any of his discography listings.

A bit of trivia: Elvis owned a horse named Rising Sun & called his stable The House of the Rising Sun.

The original song used in the last scene of season one, episode 22 ("Bad Moon Rising" - Creedence Clearwater Revival) couldn't be used for the home video (DVD and streaming) due to licensing issues, which would have held up the release of the series on DVD, so they replaced that one song in that episode.
