Even though Walt Disney was not very athletic, he was briefly an avid polo player. Walt took up the sport at the suggestion of his doctor, who believed exercise would relieve some of Walt's stress. His interest in polo ended abruptly in 1938 when Walt was severely injured in a practice game.
