Because without that, the Greeks (or any other ancient civilization) would have never developed any form of writing - which, by the way, was developed from Sumerian writing. Therefore, today, we might've not had any writing, haha.
There is no record of ancient Rome inventing football or soccer. Question should be removed.
Slavery is reprehensible to all sensible people at all times. However, the fact that Africans kept slaves, and bought and sold slaves, and rounded up slaves to trade to Europeans helps us understand the fact that slavery was permitted in nearly every part of the world.
Africans have a great affinity for their American cousins and look up to them. They understand that only the best were sent to the New World and the standard of living for African-Americans is many times that of those who stayed in Africa. African-Americans are highly educated, many going to Harvard and Columbia Law School such as Barack Obama who was born in Kenya. Africans have a low standard of living and most are not educated. Is it any wonder that Africans hold successful African-Americans in such high esteem?
Chinese does not use any alphabets. Chinese writing is not alphabetic, rather, it is pictographic.
alphabets contains only the letters from a-z while alphanumeric has both numbers and letters... example... ABCDEFGHIJ are alphabets A4F54F54F5G AND 3F3FS34TH3 are both alphanumeric... alphanumeric are commonly used as passwords since they are more difficult to crack that words or numbers separately...
The Old Persian alphabet was written in a simplified cuneiform. It formed a semi-alphabetic syllabary. The Ugaritic language was written using the Ugaritic alphabet, a standard Semitic style alphabet (an abjad) written using the cuneiform method. But Cuneiform patterns have no resemblances to any form of alphabetic writing used today.
There is no difference: an alphabet is a kind of phonetic writing, in which the signs stand for sounds. Another kind of phonetic writing is called a syllabary. Both are utterly unlike hieroglyphics and ideograms, which may contain phonetic elements. Some alphabetic languages, English and French, for example, may have changed the way words are pronounced while retaining their old spelling, in which case a truly phonetic spelling would differ from the received spelling (see the International Phonetic Alphabet, or IPA). But that does not make the alphabet any less a phonetic writing system.
