Immigrate, Yes. Colonize, No.
The Chinese came to the US to work. In China in the 19th century there was a lot of poverty and little chance to improve their condition at home. They were employed to help build the transcontinental railroads and to work the plantations of Hawaii. Although they were treated little better than slaves and were not allowed to live in neighborhoods with the rest of society, they worked hard and established their own communities. I don't think that the term "colonize" fits their situation, they just needed to work and earn enough to send small amounts of money to their families back home.
China did not have a historical policy of creating colonies. Prior to the Fall of the Qing Empire (1911), China preferred to maintain foreign vassals rather than assert direct control over areas difficult to access from Beijing, such as Korea, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia, Turkestan, and Vietnam. Even if Chinese individuals made it to the US West Coast before Spain, Mexico, and then the US controlled the area, which is very dubious, they would likely have tried to vassalize the Pacific tribes, not colonize them.
They emigrated to the USA

The ancestors of the African Americans were nearly all transported to America from Africa as slaves. The question is were African Amercians colonized or immigrated to the U.S.?
Many immigrate to the US and Canada. New York City has the largest Chinatown. Vancouver also has a large Chinese population.
cause they wanted to
no
Irish immigrants in the USA went to seek work and escape famine in Ireland in the 1800s Ireland its people and politics have never ever colonized another country
I agree with my colleague Colin Peters that, as written, the question is nonsensical. An Italian-American is born in America and can therefore not colonize or immigrate to a country where he already lives. If the question intends to ask where Italians who came to America did so by way of colonization of immigration, it would be IMMIGRATION. I am sure that the Italian immigrants would have preferred to colonize virgin soil, but alas, they came a little late to the party.
