I don't know how widespread the sales of student furniture was but I can verify that W. H. Gunlocke did make student desks and I have sat at one. Perhaps this is a very small sample. I recall living with my grandparents in Wayland NY in 1961 while my father was stationed overseas with the army. My grandfather had worked for Gunlocke for many years. He brought me into the plant (after hours) so that I could see the chairs that would go with the new desks. These were delivered to Wayland Central School. For many years after I have always been amazed that a 2nd grader had a desk and chair made out of real wood. Something that I had not seen before or after!
W.H. Gunlocke student desks were typically made of solid wood with a simple and traditional design. They often featured a hinged top for storage, a flat writing surface, and sturdy legs for support. The desks were known for their durability and classic aesthetic.
Student desks can be found in a number of stores that sell furniture. For inexpensive student desks, try Target or IKEA. Slightly better desks can be found at local furniture stores.

The (student) desks are:
This is 6! {factorial} = 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 720. The way this works: take student A, who can choose any of the 6 desks, then for each of those 6 choices that student A makes, student B has 5 desks to choose from, after that choice has been made, student C has 4 desks to choose from, ... until the last student has only one to choose from.
mm(small desks),cm(student desks),dm(student/large),m(large),km(if a desk streches a few kilometers).
The Copenhagen student desks are fairly light and can be moved easily without much effort.

You will have to assemble the chair after it is delivered for your home use. Assembly therefore is required for Boss Office Products chairs and desks, as it is not delivered as assembled.
Plastic casters are used for chairs to make them a rolling chair or to be able to move around while sitting in the chair. These are great for office spaces and sometimes with school desks.
There are many places to find student desks for a good price. Locally, it may be wise to contact schools themselves to see if they are tossing any of their own furniture to see if there's one available for you. Used and inexpensive desks can often also be found on Craigslist, Freecycle and other local marketplace websites. For new furniture, Staples, OfficeDepot, Walmart and Target often run decent sales on desks. Usually the best time to buy desks are around the big fall Thanksgiving sales.
