Japanese hairstraightening makes your hair VERY straight and it lasts forever (the new hair that grows in, grows in like your natural hair), whereas Brazilian hair only lasts for about 3-4 months, and it doesn't make your hair stick straight, it just makes it less curly and less wavy.
