What is the Difference between physical DFD and logical DFD?

For a physical Data Flow Diagram you explore into the logical DFD. for example, if you have a data flow arrow declared as "customer information" now the physical DFD would include in that data flow arrow "customer information = customer_name + customer_address". something along these lines Physical DFD shows how various functions are performed and who does them but Logical DFD strips away all physical constraints but does not restrict physical happenings from taking place.

Brief in What is the Difference between physical DFD and logical DFD?

A logical DFD makes it easier to communicate for the employees of an organization, leads to more stable systems, allows for better understanding of the system by analysts, is flexible and easy to maintain, and allows the user to remove redundancies easily. On the other hand, a physical DFD is clear on division between manual and automated processes, gives detailed description of processes, identifies temporary data stores, and adds more controls to make the system more efficient and simple. simply put… 1. Logical DFDs are not concerned about how the system is or will be constructed while Physical DFDs show how the system is or will be constructed. 2. Physical DFDs are more realistic and complex while Logical DFDs are simpler but provide an easier understanding view

What is the difference between entity relationship diagram and data flow diagram?

DFD basically describe the flow of data, means how data can be flow in a system where as ERD defines the relationship between entities. -> There is no such constrainst like cardinality, participation in dfd as compare to Erd.. ->In DFD, we show the storage of file using Parallel line where as ERD is just a conceptual represantation of data...
