Refined Bleached & Deodorized Palm Olein (RBDPL) is a derivative of RBD Palm Oil (RBDPO). RBDPO is semi solid in room temperature about 30 degree C but RBDPL is liquid in room temperature depending on their Iodine Value (IV). To produce RBDPL from CPO, first refine into RBDPO then go through fractionation plant to produce about 70% RBPL + 30% RBD Palm Stearin (RBDPS).

Palm oil comes from the oil palm plant, is slightly red in colour, is high in saturated fat and is cheap to produce. It is quite neutral in flavour. It is used to make chocolaty products, and make melty chocolate centres, and it also used extensively in processed and packaged foods.

Olive oil comes from olives. There are several grades depending on how many times the olives have been pressed before. The fewer, the darker the colour of the oil and the more olive flavour you will have. Olive oil has healthy fats, lots of flavour, a relativly low smoke point, and is quite expensive. It's not used as often in processed and packaged foods.
