The Bible says who ever believes Jesus Christ is the son of God and died as a sacrifice for sin will go to heaven/have eternal life. This is also what Jesus taught. Jesus said this:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Jesus also said:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6

I am sure some Christians believe that, but many do not. Even strict Catholicism teaches 'baptism of desire,' the possibility that people other than baptized Christians are eligible for heaven.
Another answer:
Some Christians believe that eventually everyone will believe (every knee shall bow), so everyone will be saved in one way or another at that point. Then only difference between people in the end will be how we lived our lives... so living a good life is important, but so is getting to know God.
Another answer:
He also said that "faith without works is dead" (James 2:26). God expects the whole package... belief, faith, dedication, actions.
Generally, yes this is what Christians believe. However, the Catholic Cardinal, George Pell, once said in a television interview that he believes even atheists will go to heaven if they have lived good lives.
The non-Christian sees this as entirely fair, because he believes that the Christian heaven does not even exist. Not only do non-Christians not go to heaven when they die, but Christians do not either.
True Christians (the true servants of God) will go to heaven on Judgment Day.
Only if they exist. Christians and Muslims believe that both heaven and hell exist, but belief is not proof.
That if you ask Christ to forgive you for your sins, and accept him into your heart, and get saved, then when you die you will go to heaven to be with Him.
A:Presumably the fact of being a Christian means that gay Christians probably believe in the possibility of going to heaven.
I assume you mean "Heaven". A good friend of mine is a priest. Here's the way he answers the question: When you get to Heaven if you look around and decide that you don't like who else is there, there is always another place you can go!
There are so many different opinion's I've heard, but I think most Christians don't believe that. To be honest I think that many Christians don't have an opinion on this subject. I , myself am a christian. And I don't think so. Also christians have NO problems with Jews what so ever. (Well I Think Maybe only a few small groups do. It depends on the way people interpreted the Bible.) I Think The Main Thing Is That You're Good, So If Heaven Was Real You'd Have A Good Chance Of Going There.
Us Christians believe that Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of God, put on earth to open the gates of Heaven for us.Hint on the above:Do God, the Creator, need to have a son for him to open the gates of Heaven for you? Do you think that the gate to Heaven will be opened for you by the claimed son of God or by your deeds in your first life: if balanced in you favor you go to the God Paradise and if balanced against you you are pushe to Hell fire.
Doubtful. If anything, and it probably won't be in 3000, Jesus, like the real Jesus, will come back, take the Christians to heaven, destroy satan and those left on earth, and then Christians go to heaven to stay, non-Christians go to hell to stay.
Christians believe the Bible teaches that there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Only believers in Jesus will go to heaven. From a Christian point of view, yes it is necessary.
Heaven is a Divine Place, where God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost reign. Heaven is where we believe, and know our souls enter for eternity, by accepting Jesus Christ as your (our) Savior. It is a Holy Kingdom and can only be entered through Christianity.Heaven is a place that we (Christians) only get to go to if we have accepted the Lord into our heart (Through His Son Jesus Christ) and if we have, then it is our eternal home
For Christians you go to heaven by believing the gospel, and knowing that Jesus died for us. Learn his word in the Bible. When you dont do that stuff and really believe in him and ask him to be your savior you wont go to heaven.
