Best Answer

No. Since breathing is related to oxygen, all living organisms do not breathe. Anaerobic organisms (organisms which do not breathe oxygen, for example any anaerobic bacteria) "breathe" using different molecules than oxygen, e.g. sulphur or nitrogen.

The top answer is wrong! Yes, all things breathe and NO breathing isn't related to just oxygen...just because thats how we humans relate to it doesn't make it the definitive answer! Every living thing breathes they just have different respiratory system.

All living things do need to breathe, your cells need oxygen to respirate, remember respiration is NOT BREATHING it simply means creating cell usable energy <ATP (Adenosine TriPhosphate)> with out oxygen you cannot respire, your cells will then die, then you will die, this is the same for any living organism, whether it is a fish or an elephant.
